Saints Basketball Team
Practices: Seasonal: Based on desired league
The St. Matthew Saints Basketball Team was formed November of 2006. It's purpose was established to give area Christians an organized basketball league in a church environment. The team encourages the practice of good sportsmanship and promotes the spiritual growth of its athletes. It also serves as an outreach to non-believers in hopes of bringing more people to the Kingdom of God.
Players must attend two (2) services a month in order to be eligible to play in competitive games. Requirement may be fulfilled by attending worship services including G4C Youth Church or Church School. Players must also maintain a satisfactory grade average in school. Otherwise, are not allowed to play.
Who can join: Boys in grades 7 - 10
If anyone competes as an athlete, he does not receive the victor's crown unless he competes according to the rules.
