Youth Praise Dancers
Meeting Time: Saturdays at 8:00 AM
The St. Matthew Youth Praise Dancer assembles every Saturday at St. Matthew A.M.E. Church. The mission is to best witness to the unsaved through dance and to edify God's kingdom by enhancing the praise and worship experience; to promote the development of an intimate relationship with God through praise and worship. Under the anointing of God we exalt him and give him all the praise.
The Youth Praise dancers are on the mission to spread the good news of the Lord; while redeeming souls, restoring faith, and relaying God's message through the worship of dance. This is done by ministering through dance during worship services in utilizing gifts and talents given by God to praise His Name.
The dancers are taught that to be a dancer is not about themselves but about making a sacrifice to our Lord and Savior. Scripture states in Psalm 150 that we should praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise Him with the harp and lyre, and praise Him with the tambourine and dancing.
Who can join: All Young People
Let them praise His name in the dance; Let them sing praises unto Him with the timbrel and harp.
